Yes, this movie is not in English. Yes, you will have to read subtitles unless your are fluent in Portuguese. However, this is a modern day masterpiece and although you may (and probably do not) know any of the actors, Fernando Meirelles is able to deliver what is possibly the film of the century as he takes you on one boys journey through the drug and crime ridden Brazilian City of God.Rating: 94
